More than just another fee

UPDATE: Because of an anonymous, generous gift, we are so humbled to say we have raised the Birth Mother Care fee! The Lord is so good! I will share more in a new post. 

The next amount we need to raise for our adoption is $3,000. This is the agency's birth mother care fee. All adopting families pay this fee; it helps pay for any extra medical costs birth mothers may have.

One way the agency explained this fee to us is this: even if our birth mother does not need extra medical care, your fee will be helping another birth mother in need. If you would like to make a donation to our birth mother care fee, also keep in mind that its more than just another fee. You are not only helping our family bring home our newest family member; you are helping a birth mother (who chose life over abortion) with her medical expenses. You can donate online via paypal here, or by clicking the "ChipIn" link on the left. This is the largest fee we have faced so far, but we are already able to see some of the ways the Lord is providing it! A very generous family has donated an antique piece of furniture for us to sell. I believe I can sell my Bach Stradivarius trombone for at least $1000. With the amazon.com fundraising link (http://tinyurl.com/9ZLEMWL), we have raise a little over $300 (and counting!). With all of these factors, we will have at least half of this next adoption fee.

Please pray we are able to raise this fee quickly. Once our home study is complete, we will need to pay this fee asap. Our home study is good for one year, but our profile will not be active until the $3000 fee is paid. The longer we wait on paying this fee, the greater our chances of having to re-do our home study. 

We continue to be humbled by the way our Lord is providing. When we started looking into adoption, the cost seemed impossible. I was reminded just this past Sunday how "nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37.
