Fear vs. Faith

As I study the various adoption fees tonight, it's amazing how similar I am to those Israelites in Exodus. No matter how many miracles I have seen and heard my Lord perform, despite all the trials He has rescued me from and all the blessings he has given me, I STILL can be susceptible to the paralysis of fear.

These adoption costs seem impossible to raise, but the same God who is calling us to adopt is the same God who delivered His "treasured possessions" out of Egypt.

How many adoptions have taken place where the parents had no way of funding it alone? How many children and families has our Lord provided for? And, how are we an exception to God's power and desire to rescue the orphan?

I have got to remember that NOTHING is impossible with God. Please remember to pray for our family as we go through this journey. We would love to have you join us!

Our Official Announcement

We have started this blog to document our journey to adoption. It all started with our adoptions. Yes, Daniel and I are both adopted, but not in the sense you may be thinking. Our adoption has been a spiritual one.

At different times in our lives, we both realized that we were putting lesser things before God (ourselves). We realized we were sinners and needed a rescuer. Our parents taught us about the one and only Rescuer able to save us from our wrong-doing. At young ages, Daniel and I both accepted Jesus Christ as our Rescuer, our Savior. Because of Christ, we have been adopted in God’s family. (If you want to know more about Christ, we would love to help!)

In Deuteronomy 7:6-9, God refers to His people as His “treasured possessions.” If you are adopted as a child of God, you are His treasure! What an amazing name to have! We believe God has a treasure waiting for us to adopt…hidden, waiting to be found. We hope you will join with us along this journey. We ask that you will pray, laugh, cry, and rejoice along with us as we go along this seemingly impossible venture.
