We are a family of four (well, six if you count our two crazy dogs). Daniel and I have been married for eight years. We met while attending seminary in Louisville, KY. We've been many places together, but our favorite place by far is our home. We have two daughters, Allison and Emily, both age six. Yup! Twins! They are the best of friends. Daniel is an associate pastor at our church and I homeschool our daughters. Our two dogs are nuts, but we love them. Flomar is a beagle and Lucky is a min pin puppy. (I know Flomar is a very strange name, but if you watch the movie Martian Child, you might understand.)
We have chosen the theme of "Finding Our Hidden Treasure" for a reason. When things get tough, we all forget too easily. This theme is to remind us how treasure is always worth making sacrifices for. Just like the parable of the man who found a hidden treasure in a field and sold all he had to purchase that field, some treasures are worth the sacrifice. In that parable, the treasure represents the kingdom of heaven (being with Jesus), which is indeed worth every sacrifice imaginable. "Finding Our Hidden Treasure" is a reminder to us and too those who join us on this journey of faith to adoption.
